APRIL - FREE PRACTICE SHEETS - Doodles, Lettering and Calligraphy

Updated: Oct 11, 2020

Hello, everyone!

I hope you're all fine and safe in this particular moment.

We have to stay home and we probably have several weeks ahead before coming back to our normal life. How to not get crazy?

Sitting down to think about and decorate our BuJo should be time spent to relax, but now that can be really hard, and a lack of creativity can be definitely normal.

So here you can print out 8 free practice sheets full of doodles and lettering ideas, for you and your family.

Wandering which kind supplies I use in the video? Here they are:

  1. Pentel touch brush pens

  2. Tombow Mono drawing pen 03 for the outlines

  3. Pro Arte Polar brush round 3

  4. Canson XL watercolor paper

Download the free practice sheets here.

This printable comes in a PDF file that allows you to print out one or more pages.

Just a few suggestions to help you get through the day with a bit of creativity:

  • start learning doodling. If you're a beginner and you don’t know how to start, browse inspiration from others is the best way to develop confidence with your art.

  • Reproduce some doodles in your BuJo. April is coming, and there are many elements you can add to monthly or weekly spreads! Or, as shown in the video, you can collect all elements together in a single page, right after the monthly cover. I do love doing that.

  • Entertain children creating cards, and add doodles as decorative elements. Trust me, designing a card can be very time-consuming. Choose a sentence, an illustration, and your favorite colors. Work with the pencil first, adjust lines, play with symmetries, then cut the paper. You can also get fun creating shapes: hearts, circles, rectangles.. It's really up to you!

  • Entertain children in coloring the first page. Markers, wax crayons, colored pencils, highlighters, pens.. no need for expensive art supplies.

  • Challenge yourself, draw at least 1 doodle a day. Give yourself a break, and enjoy at least a 5 minute relax.

Possibilities are infinite! Just try to let your imagination run wild..

Enjoy your day and stay safe.
